Aspire Medical, Inc. is a medical device company dedicated to developing and commercializing novel minimally invasive surgical solutions to treat obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).
Treatment of OSA is a significant and growing unmet clinical need. Approximately 17 million people in the United States and 20 million people in Europe have moderate to severe OSA. It is characterized by frequent awakening during sleep, heavy snoring and daytime sleepiness. Current therapies include continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) and surgery. CPAP, while effective, is difficult for many patients to use. Aspire Medical’s mission is to develop next-generation minimally invasive surgical technology to help physicians treat OSA more effectively and with less patient discomfort.
